Plot: As Lucas Marshall and his family are headed for summer vacation, they are unexpectedly attacked. A stranger named Simon comes to their aid, and Lucas makes the fatal mistake of inviting him into their home. Soon, Simon begins to play psychological games with the family, and Lucas fears Simon may harbor a dark secret.

Other information:
There were two other titles used for the film - Father's Day and Simon Says - before "Summer of Fear" was decided on.
The filming location was Jacksonville, Florida.
"Summer of Fear" premiered for the first time only one day after the original airing of Bermuda Triangle.
It is based on the 1994 novel "Simon Says" by Gloria Murphy.
David dyed his hair black for the role of Zack.
The DVD was finally released in May of 2007, over ten years after the original television premiere.
