Thank you and credit goes to Amira for the transcript.

Fans saw him grow up on TV. Now this 7th Heaven star is starting a new chapter in his life.

What's it like to be 19-years-old, own 7 cars and have the financial security to completely decorate a home of your own? Well, 7th Heaven star David Gallagher, who plays middle son Simon, knows how great it is: he's just renovated a second-story space on his parents' three acre property where he can chill and do exactly what he wants! Like his TV counterpart, David, the oldest of five siblings, is close to his own family. "People always ask me if I live alone," shares David. "I never know what to say. I do live alone in LA, I have my own one-bedroom apartment. But I don't really live alone because my neighbors are my mom and dad, my brothers and sisters and a cousin!"

Is that Justin Timberlake? No, but David loves music and playing his guitar in the living room: "My music is the thing that keeps me going. It's my sanity. I've even tried to start a couple of bands, but my friends aren't too into it."

The busy actor uses this fully-equipped trailer, which is usually parked on his property, when he goes on location. "It's awesome," he says.

"This sectional used to be seperate green chairs," explains David. "My mom was going to toss them, but I asked her for them. I had an upholsterer recover them in black fabric with brown trim."

"I have all my video game systems, like Game Boy, Playstation 2 and X Box, hooked up to a 42-inch plasma screen that was a gift from 7th Heaven," David says.

"I don't cook much, but since my parents did so much to help me fix the place up, a friend and I cooked a three-course meal for them: chicken, mashed potatoes and french fries," says David.

"I went to Lowe's and designed the kitchen with one of the techs on the computer," David says. "I got the wood cabinets to match the floors, and the black and stainless steel appliances coordinate, too."

"Being a celebrity isn't this huge glamorous thing all the time. It's work."

"I have a rottweiler named Sonya who I've had for eight years, and a basset hound named Harley who's a year old."

David and his friends refer to this jungle cat as the throne.

Doug Wilson (designer on Trading Spaces) speaks about David's place:
"This space is custom-made for a 19 year-old boy's first place. It's low-key and comfortable - yet it's high-tech functional. It's designed for a guy to hang alone or with friends. Giving a space a cool and relaxed vibe is easy to do as long as you follow David's lead and get things that are functional as well as fun to look at."
