Birthday Projects
When I came into contact with David, I realized I could create something I'd always thought would be awesome for a fansite to do...make a birthday book with participation from fans all over the world, and then have it delivered directly to David. So for David's 19th birthday, members of the forum and I got together to create a special birthday scrap book, with birthday messages, a fan photo collage, poems and picture collages.

David received the fan book on January 31, 2004, and this is what he had to say,

WOW! I really do not know where to start! Rob just came into the room with a full book and present for me from all of you guys at DGR and I was truly shocked! I can't believe that you guys went through all of that trouble for me on my birthday, it was too much. You guys really made my day! (sorry I couldn't wait to open it, I'm bad like that and I started before Rob told me what it was) Please forward my greatest thanks to everyone who contributed. Thank you all again! You're all the best!

Since the first project was such a success, I decided to go ahead and manage another fanbook for the coming year. It had even more content, with letters, collages and drawings that were all very well put together. There were also five pages of birthday messages. Below are some photos that I took before sending it away.






Unfortunately, we didn't hear back from David for this book - but I'm pretty sure he did receive it.
